Take a COVID‑19 PCR test:

  • You must take a COVID‑19 PCR test within 96 hours of landing in Dubai. The COVID-19 test must be negative. 
  • You will need to check with your testing facility to make sure you can get a written copy of the negative test results. Results must contain the date and time of the test, type of test and your name on the test results. 
  • The certificate must be for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai.
  • Bring an official printed certificate in English or Arabic – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. Without a printed negative test certificate, you will not be accepted on the flight.

  • Please check with both labs to ensure they can provide the written required info and prices.  

  • All travelers to Dubai, including passengers, with a connecting flight, must complete this health declaration form and give it to the staff at check‑inhttps://www.emirates.com/us/english/help/covid-19/dubai-travel-requirements/tourists/.  The form can be downloaded from the Emirates site.
  • You will need to complete the quarantine undertaking form given to you on board. Give this form to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.
  • You may need to take a COVID‑19 PCR test upon arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result.
  • If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.
  • You must also download the COVID-19 – DXB Smart App via iPhone or iOSAndroid
  • Emirates will automatically cover your COVID‑19 health and quarantine costs while you’re away from home. Find out more.
  • As of October 10th there is no known requirement for a COVID test to return to the U.S. per the CDC and New York Health Dept.  Also per the New York Health Department the 14 day quarantine is not required if your lay over is less than 24 hours and you do not leave the airport.
